What Actually Affects a Commercial Cleaning Quote?
Commercial cleaning prices depend on the work required, not just the name of the service. Knowing the main variables can help you compare proposals with fewer surprises.
Building size and layout
Square footage matters, but so does the number of rooms, fixtures, restrooms, and separated areas that require attention.
Frequency and service window
A facility cleaned several times each week may require a different staffing plan than one cleaned weekly. Evening access and building security can also affect operations.
Flooring and special conditions
Carpet, tile, hard floors, stairs, equipment, heavy traffic, and specialist tasks may change the amount of labor and equipment needed.
Supplies and consumables
Clarify whether the proposal includes cleaning products and equipment, and whether paper goods, liners, and other building consumables are handled separately.
Compare written scopes
Two quotes with different task lists are not truly comparable. Ask for the schedule, exclusions, responsibilities, and any initial service fee in writing.
Why we do not publish an average
We do not publish a universal per square foot rate because property conditions and provider capabilities vary. Use the request form to begin a relevant quote conversation.
This checklist is a planning aid. Confirm included tasks with the provider in writing.
